6 - Submitting Assignments

You will see this icon in your course:

This type of Teacher-Graded Assignment often requires you to submit work in an answer field or submission box.  Read directions carefully.  See the example below:
When you click "Add submission" at the bottom of the page, the text box or answer field opens for you to complete your assignment.  You can still see the directions for the assignment.

Copy and paste the questions in the online text box then add your answers.  There are limited editing options.  You may want to compose your responses in a word processing document first and then copy and paste it into the text box.  This allows you to spell-check your work, check the word count, and save it as a back-up copy.

When you are finished, select "Save changes" under the text box. This does not submit your assignment.  The next screen you will see is:

If you need to return to your assignment, select "Edit my submission."  If you are ready for the teacher to grade it, select "Submit assignment."

This type of Assignment is graded by the Computer.  Once you submit this assignment, you immediately see your score.
