10 - Making Adequate Progress

One of the benefits of online learning is that you have the flexibility to work at your own pace during the week.

You are expected to submit work each week. The "work" may occur anytime of the day or any day of the week - so that you are able to keep on pace to complete the course.

How to Know if you are Making Adequate Progress:

Course Checklist

At the top of each course is a course checklist that will show the assignments you have completed AND a green progress bar that gives the Percentage of Assignments you have completed. (See example below)

Completion Tick Boxes
A tick (check mark) next to an activity name will be used to indicate when an activity is complete. If an empty box with a dotted border is shown, a tick will appear automatically when you have completed the activity according to the conditions set by the teacher.

Course Completion Status

On the left hand side of some courses, you can find your Course Completion Status.  This also provides a quick look at your progress.  If you click on "More details," (at the bottom) you will see the checklist of assignments along with the number of activities you have completed out of the total number of activities.

Gradebook
The Gradebook is accessible in your PVOnline course.

Teacher
Your teacher is available to talk with you about your progress and help you understand how you can improve your grade.

Progress Grades
You will receive a Progress Grade once a month. That grade is posted in Infinite Campus.

Your Progress Grade is calculated using a combination of your progress made and the average grade on the work you have completed.
